YouTube preset (16:9 landscape)

  • Resolution: 1920×1080 (1080p) or 1280×720 (720p)
  • Frame rate: match source (24/25/30/60 fps)
  • Video codec: H.264 (MP4 container)
  • Bitrate (target): ~8–12 Mbps (1080p), ~5–8 Mbps (720p)
  • Audio: AAC, 128–192 kbps, 44.1/48 kHz
How to export in VideoPad
  1. Click Export → Video → Choose MP4.
  2. Set Resolution to 1920×1080 and Frame Rate to match source.
  3. Open Advanced/Encoder settings → select H.264, set a bitrate around 8–12 Mbps.
  4. Audio tab: AAC at 128–192 kbps.
  5. Export and upload to YouTube. The platform will re‑encode; aim for a clean master.

TikTok & Shorts preset (9:16 vertical)

  • Resolution: 1080×1920 (Full HD vertical)
  • Frame rate: 24/30/60 fps (match source if possible)
  • Video codec: H.264 (MP4)
  • Bitrate (target): ~6–10 Mbps (1080p vertical)
  • Audio: AAC, 128 kbps
How to export in VideoPad
  1. Set project or export aspect to 9:16 (vertical). Crop if needed.
  2. Export → Video → MP4, Resolution 1080×1920, Frame Rate to match your footage.
  3. Encoder: H.264 with target bitrate ~6–10 Mbps.
  4. Audio: AAC 128 kbps.
  5. Transfer to your phone or post directly from desktop.

Color, levels, and captions

  • Keep exposure and white balance consistent across clips.
  • Add captions for better retention and accessibility.
  • Stay under platform file limits; shorter videos process faster.

Troubleshooting exports

  • Audio missing? Ensure tracks aren’t muted; use AAC.
  • Upload looks blurry? Export higher bitrate or 1080p.
